What We Do
The Kindred Collective offers racial equity consulting and healing dialogue workshops for nonprofits, religious organizations, businesses and members of our community. We do this through a variety of practices which include executive training sessions, staff workshops, and facilitated discussions. Our consulting practice is rooted in relationships. We believe the work of racial equity and healing justice is inherently bound up in our relationships to ourselves, one another and the broader systems we exist within.
Racial Equity Workshops
Group workshops designed for nonprofits, religious organizations and businesses. The workshops define the historic and religious roots of white supremacy and explore inherent bias through the lens of family values. Each workshop is specifically tailored to the needs of the organization, and is designed as an entry point for those that want to understand racial equity, but want to ensure they have a strong foundational understanding of the ways white supremacy impacts our society and systems.
These topics are held in a carefully cultivated space of security and openness so that participants can freely name and release values, ideology or beliefs that no longer serve them without judgement or shame.
Organizational Equity Evaluation
The Organizational Equity Evaluations is a series of conversations with staff and organizational leadership that involves coaching and evaluation. Out of this series of conversations, an organization will be provided with questions, observations and specific opportunities for growth.
Hear Me
A program centered on powerful questions, careful listening and authentic dialogue. Hear Me creates space for people to explore the underlying questions, beliefs and thoughts we hold in a communal container with grounding virtues. Participants report a deeper sense of connection to one another, increased perspective on hot-button topics like race, mental health and faith, and renewed energy for their personal journey.
Hear Me at Work
Hear Me at Work is tailored to the needs of a particular workplace. This program is designed to highlight the elements of an organizational culture that are creating barriers to living out the mission/vision while reinforcing the themes of trust and cultivating safe and healthy vulnerability.
